The Playlist That Can’t Be Heard
Montreal, December 7th, 2022
Nature's voice was broadcasted through the streets and venues of Montreal at the COP15 climate conference.
Venues @ COP15 we infiltrated:
Espace pour la vie (biodome, insectarium, botanical garden, biosphere)
Réseau Environnement offices (largest group of environmental specialists in Quebec)
Sid Lee global offices (LA, SEA, NY, LDN, PAR, TO, MTL)
Place Ville Marie (Town Square Montreal)
Earth Day van with speakers, driving around Montreal
We created The playlist that can’t be heard, a 14 track playlist built from soundscapes from our planet recorded over the last 50 years by Martyn Stewart, the “David Attenborough of Sound” (National Geographic)
Through the marshes, the clearcutting, the dolphin massacre, glaciers melting, rise of hurricanes and a (now) extinct frog, you can hear the degradation of our planet. COP after COP, nature is kept silenced. This time we wanted the people to listen.
